Save the Children´s local association in Lund is looking for 2 project leaders for the Kids in Transit (KiT) project!
The Kids in Transit team works in collaboration with one of the Swedish Migration Agency’s reception centers in Malmö, where we organize activities for the children residing there. Our goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment for those who have fled conflict zones around the world, ensuring their right to play, rest and relax. The KiT is an exciting and rewarding project where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference for the people around you, whilst broadening your understanding of current migration issues in Sweden,
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organization skills, enthusiasm and creativity, and experience in working with children to join our team! It is an international project, and our working language is English. However, basic Swedish comprehension would be a merit.

Successful candidates will also have to complete Save the Children's online course in Child Safeguarding and provide a criminal record extract from the police.

Minsta åtagande
As one of the project leaders, you are expected to spend approximately 10 hours a month on voluntary commitment. You will plan and organize weekly trips to the migration center in Malmö alongside fellow project leaders. Besides that, you will have regular meetings with other project leaders to discuss progress, activities, financial issues and recruit volunteers for the project.
När och var sker uppdraget
Visits to the center are carried out every Wednesday at 15.30-20.00. Travel expenses between Lund and Malmö are covered by Save the Children Lund. As responsibility for the project is shared between all project leaders, you will personally be in charge of 1-2 visits per month.
